Katherine Dewey, of
elvenwork.com had planned to return to Maureen's for
the 4th time, by popular demand. This year she was going to teach a class
that would give a great foundation in all the basics of creating a figure
in clay. The topic of Sprites, Wights and other Familiars was
chosen to allow for a wide range of creativity in terms of the
character's appearance.
But, life happened and the class had to be postponed.
Keep some of these thoughts in mind, though, in case we can
reschedule... or maybe just to add a little creative twist to your
work and to your imagination:
So ...
who's your muse? Who
whispers in your ear? Is it a sprite, a wight, an imp? Find out
when you sculpt your own familiar, a magical creature who will sit
on your shoulder if you ask politely (and use the right clasp).
In this workshop, you'll learn how to create a pattern for modeling,
build an armature, create epoxy blends and more as you create a one
of a kind wearable sculpture.
Pictured
is Katherine's, and she says
that she's been with her in one form or another for years.
