What's do you see in that piece of wood?
What images are almost there, but not quite?
What does that bump or dip suggest and what might they be turned
into? These are all questions that we'll ask - and
answer - as we add polymer clay to wood to turn it into a wood and
clay sculpture. The clay can be mixed so that the color
resembles that of the wood, or it can be colorful, such as Maureen's
Talking Stick, below right.
Basic instruction will be given in sculpting polymer clay to
create faces, feet and/or hands. There will also be basic
instruction in creating patterns if you choose to use colorful
clays.
