FACES FOR THE GARDEN WALL
Have you considered putting some of your polymer clay sculptures outside?
In this class we will sculpt wall faces to hang on the garden wall. These
approximately 8 - 12-inch tall, flat-backed plaque faces can be of the sun,
moon, garden spirit or fairie sprite of your choice. Polymer clay is quite
safe outside, though it will fade if placed in direct sunlight, and, if left
unsealed, it may develop a freckled appearance somewhat like that of old
weathered wood. Maureen has a clay ogre face which has been hanging outside
the classroom for several years - summer and winter.
In this
three-day series you'll learn a variety of polymer clay techniques which
can be used to create art for your patio or garden. Each of the
days has a different theme, but what all of them have in common is
practice in sculpting and building with polymer clay and mixed media.To
