Medicine Dolls:
How to Make a Healing Doll

This class is designed to offer you the how-to's of making healing dolls. We will start with the basics - making body structures and faces, hands and feet.

You will learn about some aspects of energy medicine that can be incorporated in a doll, such as chakras, energy meridians, affirmations, and symbols.

You will be given the 10 Questions that Barb Kobe designed to help you create a healing doll and use your answers to make a healing doll for yourself.

Date: May 7 - 9, 2010

Time: 7:00 pm Friday until 3:00 pm Sunday

Experience Level: All

Format: Weekend retreat; expressive arts format ; personal journaling and contemplation time will be included in the schedule.Weekend class

Class Minimum: 4
Class Maximum: 10

Supplies needed for class

Also bring

Please bring a journal and a collection of colored pencils or markers.

Bring ½ yard of a batik fabric of your choice (be sure that the fabric is printed on both sides)

One bag of white Crayola Model Magic and plastic bag to keep it in so stays moist (available at craft stores - sometimes in the children's section)

Any special beads, embellishments, crystals or found objects from nature
