Polymer clay is such a versatile material. It can become a
shaggy animal, jewelry, sweet little children figures or a
hilarious cartoon guy, all with just a roll of the hands and a few tweeks with the fingers.
In this class you'll
learn the basics for making clay characters, including how to create
very simple faces, hands and feet. You'll also learn tricks that
will help you make the simple shapes that are the basis for all
characters.
You'll also learn how to
flatten the clay, make hair, add texture and add coloring. Also
covered will be instructions for safely baking and storing polymer clay.
That's a lot to learn in one short class, but you'll be surprised at
what you can do!
You should be able to leave class with a clear understanding of how to
work with polymer clay and then be able to design some of your own
characters at home.
