Faces and Proportions: Have your ever sculpted a head that you were quite pleased with, but then
got the body proportions so wrong that when you put the character together it
looked awkward and clumsy? Need some help in putting it all together? If so, this class is for you.
There will be two parts to this class: (1) Building a proportional
armature, and (2) sculpting a realistic face. Both of these
elements are necessary for a realistic figure out of clay.
The figures in this class will be clay with wire and fabric-wrapped
armatures. They can vary in size according to each individual
student's plans. The characters can be dressed with fabric
clothing at home or can be wrapped in an expressive style at the
workshop. |
