To Register

To Register by mail, please use this printer friendly form.

To Register by phone, call 952-492-3260.

To Register on-line:
Registration forms for both classes and dorm rooms are on individual class pages.  Click either Calendar or Classes (above)  to access class pages.

Classes
Class fees
: A non-refundable deposit of $25 is due at time of registration. ($10 for class where fee is $25 or less)
The remainder is due 30 days prior to class.

Materials Fee: Due on the first day of class.

Confirmation:
Your registration will be confirmed with either an e-mail or letter, depending on your mode of registration. Most classes will have the materials list posted on the website.  If not, prior to class you will receive: (1) a listing of general supplies needed for class, and, ( 2) a list of supplies received for the materials fee.  If you have registered for dorm housing, you will also receive information about housing policies and a list of what to bring.

Class Size: The number of registrants for day-long classes depends on the type of class being taught as well as the preferences of the instructor.  If a class has less than the minimum number of registrants as of the cut-off day for the class, the instructor has the option of canceling the class and you will be given a full refund.

Age Limits: Unless otherwise noted, all classes are for students ages 13 and up. The KID CLASSES are for ages 6 to 106; adults are welcome to attend KIDS classes with or without a KID with each attendee paying the listed class fee.

Cancellations: If it is necessary for Wee Folk Creations to cancel a class, all registered students will be notified immediately and will receive a full refund. Cancellation policy for students is currently being re-written.  Please check back!

THE DORMITORY:

The upper floor of the classroom building is a 9-bed, 6-bedroom facility that includes 2 furnished kitchens and 2 bathrooms with a combination tub and shower. A third bathroom with shower facilities is accessible on the lower level. Three of the beds are in single rooms, four of the beds are in double rooms, and the remaining two beds are in a room that is used as a double only for people who register as a group.  For most classes, this gives us four singles and four doubles.  Beds are assigned according to registration dates, with every effort made to accommodate preferences.  For privacy, beds in double rooms are separated by 5-foot folding screens. A porch off one of the kitchens offers a relaxing place to welcome dawn or dusk and to sip one's morning coffee or afternoon tea.

FEES: Single rooms are $40 per night plus 6.5% MN sales tax  ($40 + $2.60 = $42.60 per night).
Double rooms are $35 per night plus 6.5% MN sales tax ($35 + $2.28 = $37.28 per night).

A refundable one-night deposit plus tax is required at time of registration.

Check-in: after 3:00PM and before 7:00PM, unless other arrangements have been made.

Check-out: by noon, unless other arrangements have been made.

WHAT TO BRING for the Dormitory:

Bedrooms include single beds, 2 blankets, towels and wash cloths, a pillow, shared dressers and hooks for hanging clothes. Kitchens include either a gas range or microwave, refrigerator/freezer, coffee pot, tea pots, dish soap and towels and general equipment.

You will need to bring:

Twin sheets or a sleeping bag and a pillowcase

Personal items such as bar soap, shampoo and toothpaste

Food items for personal food needs (there is a modern grocery store 5 minutes away and a wonderful meat market across the street with limited deli foods) or plans for carry out or restaurant dining (many restaurants within walking distance).

A portable alarm clock (for the sound sleepers)

Mosquito spray (in season, for moonlit walks or daytime lounging along the river bank)

GENERAL DORM GUIDELINES:

1. Only registered students or participants in Self-directed Personal or Group Artist Retreats may register for dorm space. Sorry, but no children under age 13 (except for special adult/child classes) and no unregistered spouses or pets.

2. The dorm is co-educational, but rooms are not, unless couples register together.

3. You make your own bed when you arrive and strip it when you leave.

4. The kitchens, bedrooms and common space are used on a clean-up-your-own stuff basis.

5. A $10.00 returnable deposit is charged on all issued keys.
