Class Registrations
|
|
Class Size:
The number of registrants for day-long classes
depends on the type of class being taught as well as the preferences of the
instructor. If a class has
less than the minimum number of registrants as of the cut-off day for the class, the instructor has
the option of canceling the class and you will be given a full refund.
|
|
Age Limits: Unless otherwise noted, all
classes are for students ages 13 and up. The KID CLASSES are for ages 6 to
106; adults are welcome to attend KIDS classes with or without a KID with
each attendee paying the listed class fee.
|
|
Class fees:
A non-refundable
deposit is due
at time of registration. If you are registering within 6 weeks of
the class date, the class fee must be paid in full.
Deposits are as follows:
$50 per student for classes that are $100 or more
$25 per student for classes that are from $40 to $99
$5 per student for classes that are from $5 to $39
Remaining registration fees are due six weeks prior to class. Two
months prior to class we will send you a reminder notice listing fees
due.
If the balance of your class fees is not paid in a timely manner your
space in class as well as your deposit may be forfeited.
|
|
Materials Fee:
If any, is due on the first
day of class.
|
|
Confirmation and Materials List: Your registration will be
confirmed with either an e-mail or letter, depending on your mode of
registration. Most classes will have the materials list posted on the website.
If not, prior to class you will receive: (1) a listing of general supplies
needed for class, and, ( 2) a list of supplies received for the materials fee. If you have registered for dorm housing, you will
also receive information about housing policies and a list of what to
bring.
|
|
Cancellations: Due to our small
class sizes, each registered student is critical to our success. If you
need to cancel, please do so as quickly as possible so that your space might be
made available to someone else.
We do have minimum enrollment numbers for each class, so please register as
early as possible to avoid class cancelltions. If it is necessary for Wee
Folk Creations to cancel a class, all registered students will be notified
immediately and will receive a full refund.
Refunds: For cancellations received
more than 6 weeks prior to class there will be full refund of all fees paid
minus a service fee that is equal to the minimum deposit for that class.
There is no refund for cancellations received less than 6 weeks prior to class
except for emergency situations, which will be determined on an individual
basis.

THE DORMITORY:
|
The upper floor of the classroom building is a 9-bed, 6-bedroom facility
that includes 2 furnished kitchens and 2 bathrooms with a combination tub
and shower. A third bathroom with shower facilities is accessible on the
lower level.
Four of the beds are in single rooms, 2 are in
a double room and there is one triple - real dormitory style! A
porch off one of the kitchens offers a relaxing place to welcome dawn or
dusk and to sip one's morning coffee or afternoon tea.
|
|
FEES: |
Beds vary in price from $35 to $70 per
night, plus 6.5% MN sales
tax. Prices are listed on the Inside the Dormitory
page as well as on the on-line registration form for each class. A refundable $40 dorm deposit is required
at time of registration.
|
|

a pillow, shared dressers and hooks for hanging clothes.

GENERAL DORM GUIDELINES:
|
1. Only registered students or participants in Self-directed Personal
or Group Artist Retreats may register for dorm space. Sorry, but no children
under age 13 (except for special adult/child classes) and no unregistered
spouses or friends without special permission (and as space allows). No
pets are allowed except for our resident care-dog, Poochie, our caretaker Renee's sweet
Sheltie.
If you are allergic to dogs, please let
us know!
2. The dorm is co-educational, but rooms are not, unless couples
register together.
3. You make your own bed when you arrive and strip it when you
leave.
4. The kitchens, bedrooms and common space are used on a
clean-up-your-own stuff basis.
5. Don't want to bother with bringing your own sheets and a pillowcase?
We can provide them for an additional fee of $5.00 per bed.
6. Laundry room facilities are available on a pay-per-load basis. |
